The big 3-2....again.....

We kicked off Hubby's birthday weekend with a surprise picnic on the boat on a gorgeous Friday evening.  Hubby was not expecting it (or at least that's what I tell myself) and was pretty happy to cruise on down the river. 

We enjoyed the scenery.....

.....Lobster Rolls from a local fish market (more on that tomorrow)......

 .....fed the ducks.....

(Well, duck, only Mr. Mallard was brave enough to break away from the group....This has been on my Summer Bucket List for a while now.  Hubby was determined to get it crossed off.  He tried his darndest to make it happen for me, even chasing down the poor little things, circling them, and calling to them.  Finally, one was convinced if he came over we might just leave them be.)

....and just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.  All in all it was a spectacular evening and a great start to celebrating a very special birthday!
