Garden Update

Back in May I showed you a glimpse of our garden after we first planted it.  We have started harvesting some goodies, and I thought I'd give you another little peek at just how much it has grown.  (Unfortunately, the weeds seem to grow just as quickly, if not quicker....please just pretend you don't see them! We don't treat at all for fear of harming our bees.  As a result, they tend to have a mind of their own.)

So far we have harvested okra, beans, peas, hot peppers, sweet peppers, and jalapenos.

Our cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen.

It should only be a matter of time before we have some squash, both yellow and zucchini.

Our pink girls are also coming in beautifully.  You might remember these are our very favorites, so we are thrilled they are already producing so much.  Just giving them the love and time they need.

The okra also continues to produce as well.  It takes a while for it to get going, but the more we pick, the more it produces.  It is truly delicious!

The last picture I have to share is our peas.  It has been a little hot for them, but they don't seem to mind, and continue to flower.  We're trying to hold on to them as long as we can before they
tucker out.
With that, I'm off to make some garden yummies.  Stay tuned tomorrow for the recipe!
Happy Gardening!

    1. I'm sure yours will come along soon!! I'm kind of surprised how well ours are doing since we got them in so late this year because of the long, cold winter. Just pure luck :)
