Some Christmas Touches

Decorating for Christmas is one of my very favorite things of the season.  I tend to keep things pretty traditional, using mainly reds and greens.  Please come on in for a little tour.....(and bear with my photography.....it's one of my biggest resolutions for the new year....).

Welcome!  Y'all come on in....

Hubby was in charge of hanging the garland and lights outside.  His typical motto is fast and furious.  This year I was just happy I didn't have to brave the cold...

The Living Room.....

In the evening.....

Sweet friend J gifted me this adorable house years ago.  He chose it because of the darling dancers inside as that year we had taken a dance class together.  As a result, it's one of my very favorite decorations.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!

Dining Area....

The usual Blue Willow dishes are replaced with Spode Christmas during the season.  The change makes me smile each time I pass by.

The Kitchen.....

DIY Champagne Cork Ornaments

The kitchen also houses our activity calendar and Christmas countdown, along with some little gingerbread men.

The Guest Room....

(Confession: This room is in no way "finished".  In fact, quite the opposite.  We're planning a renovation of sorts on this room, but Hubby convinced me to wait until February when cabin fever has hold of me and I decide to change every inch of our home.  He's completely right, but as a result, this is not how I want to showcase this room.  I still decorated, however, as we usually have friends spend the night as they are visiting home.  Just do me a favor and pretend you don't notice....)

My mom's best friend gifted me this sweet pillow the year my mama passed.
She had no idea my mom had gifted me a miniature hanging version
herself the year before.

Our Bedroom.....

Thank you for visiting!  Hope you come back for another visit soon!

Merry, Merry!!
