Christmas at the Lilly House [Indianapolis Museum of Art]

I was so very excited to be able to spend some time with Bestie KB during this very busy time of year.  We met at the Lilly House on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, which was decorated in all its Christmas splendor.

The home is absolutely stunning......

....and the views and grounds beautiful.

The downstairs of the home is lovely.
(Although the pictures don't do it justice.  It was dark and
I was unable to use a flash.  Please forgive.)

Unfortunately we were disappointed to discover the upstairs was not decorated like the downstairs.  It had been stripped of the original or traditional furnishings and was very modern and sterile, completely not what we were expecting.  We finished our visit with a cup of tea and a terrific visit in the museum's cafe overlooking their gardens.  It's always wonderful having a catch-up with a dear friend.
Merry, Merry!
