PSA: Erno Laszlo and Clarisonic

Many moons ago as a teenager my sweet mama introduced me to Erno Laszlo.  Back then my skin was oily and their Sea Mud Soap was a complete Godsend.  Truly.  The little black bar (which lasted forever) worked miracles.  It was a little shocking to look at and was quite a conversation starter when I went to college, but those who tried it converted immediately.  It's the perfect soap for oily or combination skin.  I'd still be using it today, except....

...as soon as I hit an, ahem, certain older age, I woke up and my skin was bone dry. Overnight.  But, Laszlo saved the day again.  Their Phelityl Pre-cleansing Oil is liquid gold.  It removes makeup, hydrates, and softens skin and although it's thick, it glides right over the skin, leaving it feeling (and looking!) so. much. better.

I pair it with Laszlo's Phelityl Cleansing Bar for Dry Skin and just like the Sea Mud, the bar lasts forever.

Since Christmas, I've been using my Clarisonic Mia to give it that extra little oomph.  I wanted to try it for a bit before recommending, and I have to say I think I've finally found the perfect combination to banish (or at least tame) my dry skin, that is always especially worse in the winter.

I am, however, still searching for the perfect eye cream.  Any suggestions??  I'm all ears!!!

  1. I had never heard of it. I am wondering if it would help my oldest's breakout situation. Might need to give it a try. Where do you purchase it?

    1. That's why I initially started using the Sea Mud all those years ago. It worked for me. The links I included are Nordstrom, which is where I've been purchasing lately because of the free shipping. Laszlo has a long history with Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis, and Nicole Kidman as clients, although the company changed hands a few years ago.

  2. 've used this for 20 years. I love it. It lasts a long time. I've strayed from time to time, but there is no replacement. I always come back... http://deadseaproductstore.com
