A Special Baptism

We had the most wonderful celebration of the sweetest little one this past weekend in Chicago.  It was beautiful, full of love, and so moving to be a part of such a timeless tradition.  The sweetie didn't utter a peep during the service, but instead kissed her nouna (Godmother) as she waited to be dunked stealing the hearts (I'm sure) not just of her nouna, but every one in the church.   She then fittingly reappeared as an angelic beauty in all white, smiling the entire time.

One thing is certain....my koumbara knows how to throw a party.  The room was decked in pink, pearls, and all things girl.  The flower centerpieces were stunning....

the food delicious....

and the dance floor packed.  (Sorry....too busy dancing to capture a picture.)  No detail was overlooked, as is always the case with my sweet Koumbara.

Certainly, it was an event to be forever remembered.

As I was dressing for the occasion, it was a little overwhelming to think of the other celebration we've had at the same venue....it seems as though we were just dressing for her engagement party....

I'm so excited to see what other wonderful events will be in our future!
