New Orleans BBQ Shrimp
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds jumbo shrimp (full disclosure, the shrimp pictured isn't jumbo, the other size was much too good of a price to pass up...)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 T Heinz chili sauce (found in condiment aisle)
- 3 T olive oil
- 2 T Worcestershire
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1 1/2 t cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 t hickory liquid smoke
- 1 t paprika
- 1 t oregano
- Tabasco, to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients, other than shrimp, in a saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes and remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly.
- Arrange shrimp in single layer in oven proof dish. Pour in cooled marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
- Cook in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
Cheesy Ranch Grits
Ingredients:
- 1 can chicken broth
- 3/4 cups quick cook grits (not instant)
- 1 T ranch seasoning
- shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Bring chicken broth to boil.
- Add grits, reduce heat to low. Cook stirring frequently for 5 min.
- Add ranch seasoning and cheese and mix well.
Sounds delicious! Love shrimp and grits.
