The other day I mentioned my sentimental love of zinnias in passing, and since then I've had a couple questions about it. So.....here's the story.....

What's for Dinner [Creole Butter Injected Chicken]
When I spied an injector in the clearance aisle at the grocery, I quickly snatched it up. I had been wanting to try one, and for 99 cents I simply couldn't pass it up...even if it was a failure, I would only be out a buck. Well, let me tell you, it was a success. It was juicy and flavorful. I got Hubby to not only eat chicken (not his favorite) but also agree to make it again! Score!

More Fall Love
The older I become, the more I appreciate fall. I truly fell in love with the season at IU when the campus was just stunning. I genuinely appreciate the change of season, and although I'm not a fan of winter or cold weather, would miss the changes if we lived elsewhere.
Yesterday I shared some fall touches around our little hive. I have just a few more images to share with you today that didn't quite fit into the blue and white love fest. I kept with the theme of bringing the outdoors in to create a cozy and natural feeling.

Blue and White Love on The Pink Pagoda
The Pink Pagoda is hosting The Blue and White Bash today. If you've never visited her blog before, it is spectacular.....all things blue, white, and chinoiserie....truly stunning! So much so, that I'm really, really nervous about participating. I'm no where near as talented as the incredible ladies that are linking up. I decided though that my love of blue and white is just as strong, so I'm going to go for it!

Biscuit Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts
In fifth grade we went on an overnight camping field trip. I remember several things from this trip.....a ghost story that was so scary one girl wet her pants (although I don't remember the story), a night hike, and Mrs. Simpson's camping doughnuts. They were yummy, and for some reason, Mrs. Simpson was not one I would have imagined to make doughnuts over a camp fire, which made it even cooler.

Homemade Pumpkin Latte
It might be cliché, but I love drinking pumpkin lattes in fall. (I love anything pumpkin, truth be told.) I do not, however, like spending $4+ at a certain coffee shop with those green and white cups. This year I was determined to make my own PSL so that I could enjoy it when ever and as often as I like.

Autumn Wreath
I have a slight obsession with wreaths. I love to change them with the seasons, holidays, weather, or any other little 'ole excuse to change things ups. Last year I whipped up this simple fall wreath as something new for our front door.
I started with a grapevine wreath from Joann's. While there, I picked up some berry and leaf picks, and also several sheets of felt in fall colors. Using this picture as a quick tutorial on how to make the flowers, I cut several circles of different sizes in different colors, rolled them into the flowers, and used a dab of hot glue to keep them together.
