Five on Friday [Last of 2016]

Happy Friday!  Now, I know I've been a little MIA, but purposefully chose to enjoy the little things of the Christmas season and, for me, that meant a little time away.  I'm back though with a renewed focus (better phrase than resolution??) and an intent to post more frequently.  So, with that, let's get down to this week's five:

ONE
While you're celebrating with champs this weekend don't forget to save the corks for sweet little ornaments.  I save them from special events throughout the year.

TWO
I've got to be honest, I'm thrilled to have another week off of school!  Although we had school all the way through the end of last week, it's been so very nice to have some time to rest and relax.  Bestie KP and I hit the gym and then binged on Fuller House yesterday.  That's balanced, right?  Ha.

THREE
Speaking of binge watching, the second season of The Man in the High Castle came out a few weeks ago on Amazon Prime.  Hubby and I had a little at home date night with appetizers, a fire, and the show.  It's so good!

FOUR
We're enjoying the last bit of the Christmas decorations.  While we usually leave them up through Epiphany, they just might be coming down next week before heading back to school.  For now though, I've been enjoying a little afternoon treat of white hot chocolate by the tree.

FIVE
I can't believe that it's the last Friday of 2016!  While I could hardly wait for 2015 to bid adieu, 2016 has been a pretty great year for my little family.

We'd like to take a moment to wish you and yours all the best in 2017.  May the new year be filled with love, health, and happiness!

happy new year:
Wishing y'all a wonderful weekend!

  1. We save special corks too. Love the idea of turning them into ornaments. Would be cute to have a tree full for the kitchen.
Happy New Year to you. So thankful this year was better for both of you!

  2. We always leave our Christmas decorations up until the Epiphany too! I had a little fake tree from Target on my desk at work, and I intentionally left it out because it just seemed wrong to put it away before the Epiphany. :)
