Five on Friday [Thanksgiving Edition]

Happy Friday, Y'all!  Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving week and an especially wonderful Holiday Season.  Today's Five on Friday will be brief, as we're still in a food coma, and are busy decorating our little hive for Christmas.  No shopping here.....

ONE
Hubby and I celebrated Thanksgiving with his parents earlier in the day and then my family.  It is truly heartwarming to be able to spend time with those we hold so dear.  Life is filled with so many blessings for which we are thankful.  My goal is to try to pay special attention to these blessings throughout the year, not just during this season.

TWO
We also celebrate Daddy's birthday Thanksgiving day.  I made Paul Prudhomme's Chocolate Cake with Mocha Icing to celebrate.  If you haven't made it, you need to.  It. is. divine. Seriously.

THREE
The decorating got off to a rocky start this morning and things are taking a little longer than originally planned....Just in case you were wondering the entire tree should be lit.....

FOUR
I've been crafting like crazy for some new little holiday touches for our hive.  Here's a sneak peek at one of the projects.

FIVE
We were able to meet Hubby's BFF's first little one this week.  He is just too sweet, cute, and darling.  Sadly, I was too busy cuddling and oohing and aahing to snap any pictures.  I guess that will have to be my excuse to sneak over for some more cuddles soon!!

Now, hop on over to join Darci, Christina, Natasha, and April for the other Five on Friday posts.

Happy Thanksgiving Friday!

  1. But really ----- are ALL of the trees conspiring this year (and last year .... and the year before that)!? Guys, it's your job to stay lit up... that's it. Stand tall and keep your lights on. Gahhhh. We are in the market for a new one because ours is driving me crazy!

So glad you linked up AND that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! And now the countdown to Christmas! :)
