Ramblings

Last weekend I was lucky enough to spend some QT with my Koumbara.  It had been way, way too long.  We ended the day with a little nightcap.  The Moscow Mule might just be my new favorite.  It was delish!  (And of course I'm a sucker for presentation....the copper cup just may have sealed the deal.)

After Monday's sadness, I was grateful for the reminder of the beauty of God's creation.  The trees in the area are stunning, breathtaking really....like this one I see daily at school.

Our pup is the most snuggly thing in the world.  He tends to creep up as morning is creeping in and trap me so that I can't get up.  Secretly, I love it.

Please, please take into account this pic
was taken around 6 am....

The tennis season is coming to a close.  I have to brag a little about my boys.  We won a second invitational, winning both overall and at four of five positions.

But more importantly, these young men are gentlemen.  I was overwhelmed when they decided to plan a "Pink Out" in honor of a mom battling breast cancer.  It was impressive and heart warming to watch them support their teammate and his loved ones.  Having lost my own mom to the disease, to say I was touched would be an understatement.

Finally, last year we ended the tennis season as State Champions.  The tournament started a couple weeks ago.  This afternoon we are playing in the first round of the state finals.  We would need to win three tough matches in order to accomplish that again this year, but I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed!!  (And would be grateful for some good vibes this afternoon and tomorrow, too.  Ha.)

Happy Friday!!
