- espresso, brewed (I use our stovetop espresso maker)
- sugar, if desired
- Brew espresso according to your maker's directions. (See vanilla latte for more details.)
- Mix 2 parts eggnog and 1 part milk in a glass jar. Cover and shake until mixture doubles in size. Remove lid and heat in microwave for 45 seconds - 1 minute.
- If using sugar, add to mug. Add espresso (I use about a half and half espresso to milk ratio, but make according to your own taste :).)
- Sprinkle with ground nutmeg.
