Five on Friday [The Garden Edition]

T.G.I.F!!!!!  I'm so very excited that the weekend is almost here!!  I'm headed to Chicago as my Koumbaroi are baptizing their little one.  It's sure to be a spectacular celebration and I'm anxious to be a part of the special day.  But first, let's get down to this week's Five on Friday.

ONE
As I was planting the hanging baskets last weekend, Hubby made some different suggestions.  Ultimately, we decided to each plant our own, using our own method, and see how things turn out.  He has announced he's not going to water mine....I'm all on my own.....admittedly, Hubby's much better about that than I am.  But in light of the competition, I just might be better about it this summer!

TWO
I've been itching to get the vegetables in this spring, but the weather just hasn't cooperated with my schedule.  So instead I whipped up these cute little plant markers to satisfy the urge.  Easy peasy and were made with supplies already in my stash.

THREE
We've had great luck with our herb garden though!  It's so nice to pop out and snip some while working in the kitchen.

FOUR
One of my favorite things about the warmer weather is Happy Hour on the porch with Hubby.  Love the time with him, just as I'm loving these monogrammed wine glasses.  They're the perfect addition!

FIVE
Finally, I always struggle with the window boxes.  I'm too symmetrical.   Things look great for a  couple weeks and then nothing.  So I'm trying something completely new this year....purple sweet potato vine, purple mini petunias, coleus, and white alyssum (which smells heavenly).  Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Today I'm linking up with the fabulous Friday ladies.
As always, be sure to check out all the Friday goodness!
Wishing y'all a wonderful weekend!!

Happy Friday!

  1. Your plant markers are so cute! I want to do an herb garden so bad, it's so convenient. And love your monogrammed wine glass - so pretty!
