Friday Five [3.3.17]

Happy Friday!  Happy March!!  March is one of my favorite months.  It's prospect of warmer weather, spring flowers, and summer being just around the corner.  This year is no different.  It's going to be a big month...BIG things happening with the tennis program, a girls' trip to the beach, Brother #3 is celebrating a BIG birthday, and, if I'm being honest, I'm celebrating an even bigger (or just plain older??) birthday.  But before we get to all of those, here's this week's five

I've been debating on a pair of Birkenstocks forever, but just can't seem to decide.  If you have a favorite pair I'd love to hear about them!  I think I have it narrowed to this pair or this pair, but am open to suggestions!

I recently started the The Greek Diet (and have received relentless teasing about the fact that the Greek girl needed to read a book about the Greek's really just a plan friends, a eat all those things I grew up eating and loving).  The book talks a lot about Greek Mountain Tea (and the older generations of both my friends and family swear by it).  I ordered some from Amazon and have been sipping on it every afternoon.  I like mine with a bit of honey or lemon. Honestly, it reminds me of all those times growing up sipping (begrudgingly at that point) on chamomile, another Greek staple.

While I'm actually loving the new eating plan, there are points in which:

However, if you're going to eat a salad, eat this one.  Jacques Pepin's recipes never disappoint and this one is no exception.

The 3rd grade boys were in a fit of absolute giggles the other day.  One, in particular, was pretty tickled with himself.

A little extra something this week...but who's counting?

Wishing y'all a wonderful weekend!

  1. I always love your Friday Fives.... thanks for the bonus one. Have a great day and weekend.

  2. Why does cream in the same sentence as diet freak me out??? LOL. All things in moderation. Right? I'm really curious so I just might have to whip up a batch of that dressing. Happy Friday!!!

  3. I think most would have to resort to asking an elder what exactly they ate back in the day. We've gotten away from eating the cuisines of our heritage. Sad honestly. And, I am cracking up over that answer. Boys will be boys as they say.

  4. I think the Greek day it sounds awesome and I hope it goes great for you! Don't you just love your little boys giggle, I still love hearing my teenagers laugh. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend too!

  5. I love salads! Thanks for the resource! Oh man, kids and their roots. Have a lovely Saturday!

  6. I have the 'Gizeh' Birkenstocks and I could not love them more! I found them a bit awkward looking on my feet at first, but I got used to them quickly! I highly recommend them! Happy weekend!

    Kenzie :)

  7. I, too, wish salads were doughnuts...except that salad does look amazing. Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm glad I found yours too! :)

  8. The recipe for the salad dressing looks so yummy (not as yummy as a donut, but what are you gonna do? ;)) - I think I'll be making it this week! Thanks for sharing! And thanks for stopping by my blog - I'm adding yours to my list of ones I regularly visit!

  9. That salad looks great, but I'm with you-sometimes you just wish it were a donut instead.

  10. Lol! I am about to embark on a healthier eating plan and that meme made me LOL. I would want the salad to be pizza, though. Just saying... Have a great week!

Thanks so much for buzzing by! I look forward to hearing from you!
