ONE
I've been debating on a pair of Birkenstocks forever, but just can't seem to decide. If you have a favorite pair I'd love to hear about them! I think I have it narrowed to this pair or this pair, but am open to suggestions!
I recently started the The Greek Diet (and have received relentless teasing about the fact that the Greek girl needed to read a book about the Greek diet...it's really just a plan friends, a plan....to eat all those things I grew up eating and loving). The book talks a lot about Greek Mountain Tea (and the older generations of both my friends and family swear by it). I ordered some from Amazon and have been sipping on it every afternoon. I like mine with a bit of honey or lemon. Honestly, it reminds me of all those times growing up sipping (begrudgingly at that point) on chamomile, another Greek staple.

While I'm actually loving the new eating plan, there are points in which:
FOUR
However, if you're going to eat a salad, eat this one. Jacques Pepin's recipes never disappoint and this one is no exception.
FIVE
The 3rd grade boys were in a fit of absolute giggles the other day. One, in particular, was pretty tickled with himself.
SIX
A little extra something this week...but who's counting?

I always love your Friday Fives.... thanks for the bonus one. Have a great day and weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhy does cream in the same sentence as diet freak me out??? LOL. All things in moderation. Right? I'm really curious so I just might have to whip up a batch of that dressing. Happy Friday!!!
ReplyDeleteI think most would have to resort to asking an elder what exactly they ate back in the day. We've gotten away from eating the cuisines of our heritage. Sad honestly. And, I am cracking up over that answer. Boys will be boys as they say.
ReplyDeleteI think the Greek day it sounds awesome and I hope it goes great for you! Don't you just love your little boys giggle, I still love hearing my teenagers laugh. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend too!
ReplyDeleteI love salads! Thanks for the resource! Oh man, kids and their roots. Have a lovely Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI have the 'Gizeh' Birkenstocks and I could not love them more! I found them a bit awkward looking on my feet at first, but I got used to them quickly! I highly recommend them! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteKenzie :)
I, too, wish salads were doughnuts...except that salad does look amazing. Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm glad I found yours too! :)
ReplyDeleteThe recipe for the salad dressing looks so yummy (not as yummy as a donut, but what are you gonna do? ;)) - I think I'll be making it this week! Thanks for sharing! And thanks for stopping by my blog - I'm adding yours to my list of ones I regularly visit!
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks great, but I'm with you-sometimes you just wish it were a donut instead.
ReplyDeleteLol! I am about to embark on a healthier eating plan and that meme made me LOL. I would want the salad to be pizza, though. Just saying... Have a great week!
